Fallout 3 T-51b Power Armor

Posted by admin on Feb-27-2009

Unique Power Armor.
[NEW EDIT: The keys are not available after completing Operation: Anchorage. If you want to obtain T-51b Power Armor, you will have to get it before going into the simulation!!]
NOTE: You do not have to do the quest to get the keys from your victims.
NOTE: I made this video to show one way to obtain this armor. Its not supposed to be about the quest. Just the beginning of it.

The T-51b cannot be repaired using any other power armor variants. Only shop keepers or caravan traders can repair T-51b Power Armor. On the plus side, T-51b armor is twice as durable as standard Power Armor, and thus it degrades half as quickly as it takes damage. The only way to keep the T-51b from being damaged is to give it to followers, which never degrade the armor’s condition.

Background:
The T-51b Power Armor is the Power Armor in the original games. It is a unique model in this game and can only be found via the dangerous Fort Constantine.

The T-51b is one of the only Power Armor variants, the other being the Tesla Armor, in Fallout 3 which does not carry an inherent Agility penalty; instead, it grants a Charisma bonus for reasons unexplained (possibly a nod to the iconic nature of the armor in association with the Fallout franchise, or because it is so convincing to say yes to a 7 foot tall man in this beastly armor). For some reason it does not offer a Strength bonus like in previous Fallout games, this could be a mistake by the developers or a possible attempt to make no single dominant armor in the game.

Acquiring It:
A full set of the T-51b Power Armor can be found at Fort Constantine in the bomb storage building (not to be confused with the separate building labeled “Bomb Storage”, this is the exit.) It’s stored in the Weapons R&D laboratory behind a stasis field, easily disabled from the nearby terminal. It should be noted, however, that you need the three keys that you get from the “You Gotta Shoot ‘Em in the Head” quest as these keys opens the doors to the actual armor. A fourth key is retrieved from Tara near the door leading to the terminal/stasis field.

Another way of getting the Armor is when you successfully complete the quest (with the keys handed over to Mister Crowley): then you can often find Crowley with the Power Armour sometime after you have completed the quest. You can then kill him for the armour but remember, this would send the whole of the underground after you; unless you kill him with stealth or remove Cerberus’s Combat Inhibitor (preferably when Crowley is in the vicinity) which would cause the robot to kill him (and others) without the Underground attacking you. Alternatively, you can use the Mesmetron on him which will turn him hostile (or blow off his head; if this happens simply reload your last save) towards everyone in the Underworld. In the presence of Cerberus, he will die quickly without harming any other residents or loss of karma.

One strategy to get the power armor without alerting any of the people of underworld is to wait until Mr Crowley is alone or has very few people around him, preferably when he is asleep. If you have any followers, have them wait outside the room. Once that is done, use a stealth boy and reverse pickpocket a frag grenade or frag mine, killing Crowley and allowing you to take the armor. If done properly no one in underworld will attack you, or even care. (Successfully done on the 360 version)

STOP the Behemoth Boatyard!

Posted by admin on Feb-27-2009

UPDATE: The Behemoth Boatyard, in a slightly smaller form, was approved by the City Commission WITH THE HELP OF COMMISSIONER CINDI HUTCHINSON, who voted against the residents and for the developer. The vote was 3-2.
SYNPOSIS: Citizens of Fort Lauderdale’s Harbordale neighborhood show why a proposed 15-story, 387-foot-long boat storage facility is a terrible idea. It’s WAY to huge for the proposed location on the border of a residential neighborhood, and it will create half a canyon directly behind the Southport Raw Bar. Plus, it will cast a shadow on the Norwich Condominium and other residential properties across the canal. Commissioner Cindi Hutchinson is being urged to oppose the project, but has not taken a public position on it. The city’s professional planning staff politely trashed the monstrous boat storage facility as too big for its site. More at http://www.fortlauderdaleobserver.com

I run an online ebay store, called CincinnatiGifts, and this is the main storage room that I use to store a large percentage of my wares off-site, so they don’t take up room in my home.

As you can see, it is nearly full, from floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall. This is what you will be inheriting if you decide to buy my ebay store and everything listed for sale within it.

How can I get my boat back from repair shop?

Posted by admin on Feb-21-2009

I brought my boat in last week for an estimate. I signed a work order and it lists all kinds of things like total parts and total labor and other charges etc. All say 0.00. I signed this that I agreed to no charges. I got a call today saying he wants $210.00 for the estimate. I went and tried to get my boat and he says he wants $210.00 cash or he won't give me my boat back. This is in Ingleside, Illinois. I'm filing a claim with Illinois Atty. General. but what would you do? I know if I give him $210.00 cash then he'll make me sign something saying I approved or he'll later say that he never got the cash and probably won't give me a receipt for it. I'm also thinking that if I don't pick it up and pay that he'll end up charging me a storage fee. I'm totally between a rock and a hard place and soooo tired of being taken because they know it would cost too much for a lawyer and so most people just pay. Please help. The police say it's a civil matter and won't help.
I know I can pay him, but it's about principal. I was told no charge and then he charges what he wants. When I called the Illinois Atty General they did say it was illegal what he did. I'm hoping for some idea of how to handle this.

Pay the 210.00 and never go back again. It sucks – but believe me you won't regret it when your out on the water instead of being landlocked.

happen if I cancel the insurance, something happens to the car, then I put insurance back on..how will they know the damage occured before I had insurance? Im just thinking in general, not planning on doing this.

They will know because they will inspect the car before insuring it (the Second time)

OKay I have a lot of videos on my computer that I need to upload to a video storage site to keep them safe because I am trying to fix my computer from a virus and I want to quickly upload them to a site before I reinstall the windows since I can't get the virus out.

Well I am looking for a video storage site that I can upload a lot of videos where its private and the only person can see them in myself. I tried photo bucket but once I upload the video to that site I can't re-save it to my computer. After I fix my computer I want to be able to re-save the video. I tried to upload the videos to my yahoo mail so I could maybe send them to my own yahoo mail but it will load so slow since I have so many videos. So where is a site that I can upload a lot of videos for free where only I can see them.. Youtube is not really an option for me since I want to upload more then one video at a time. So please give me some sites that I can upload more then one video and won't take forever uploading them and that I can only see them.

THANKS so much if anyone can help me out..

why don't you make a myspace account and put them there. you can make it so that only the friends of that profile can view the videos. since you're only using it for storage, you won't have to worry about adding friends and such. plus, once the computer is fixed, you can re-save the videos back to your computer. idk what myspace's storage capacity is for videos, but it could be enough.

another option: you could buy a couple of cheap cell phone-to-computer memory cards (maybe twenty dollars) and e-mail the videos to your phone. if you can work around the virus, just set it to send the e-mail and let it go overnight. when you wake up the videos will be on your phone. save the pictures to the card and your done. then you can just keep the card and plug it directly into the rebooted computer.
