Where can I find something that is used for storage that overhangs the back of a boat?

Watch out you don’t alter the balance of the boat. If you add weight at the back, she will start to drag her stern, become harder to steer, and consume more fuel for same speed.

I am not sure you will. Plastimo UK and Jimmy Green Marine are good sites for chandlery, but I couldn’t see what you describe. You may have to fabricate your own device.

It sounds like you may be referring to davits that can hold a small boat and may have other equipment such as windmill generator or solar collector.

What you are describing is a "cat catcher" – there are a couple for sale on findafishingboat – though they may be a little bit large,as I suspect you have a narrow boat. They are usually custom made, from alloy or s/s tubing.

you don,t say what size craft you have.
the previous answer about altering the trim and balance of the boat is spot on,
however, if your boat i big and heavy enough to cope with extra weight on the stern then you can build a solid platform to your own specifications with commercially bought UNISTRUT, a metal channel that is approx 2" shaped like a flat U. fittings are bought seperate and bolted together. stainless steel can be used as carbon will rust unless primed and galvy painted.

small boat owner that created the same for crab creels
Try buying a tender and tow it behind with all your stuff or why not build an aft stowage section
