Where can I find something that is used for storage that overhangs the back of a boat?
Watch out you don’t alter the balance of the boat. If you add weight at the back, she will start to drag her stern, become harder to steer, and consume more fuel for same speed.
Are there any storage boats that go from hawaii straight to south korea?
If so, how long does it take for the boat to get from ‘a’ to ‘b’?
8 to 14 days depending on the ship. The term you are actually looking for is Cargo ship.
Central Gulf Lines inc stops in Hawaii on the way to Japan and Korea. I don’t about foreign companies.
Boat Storage and other questions?
Ok I was wondering. We live in Gerogia in a canal that is preety deep that leads out to the ocean and I was wondering a couple of things. Well first we were gonna buy a 60 ft boat and were going to build a big 100 ft storage garage.
Ok 1. How do you clean the under belly of your boat?
2. How do you store your boat?
3. Can you have your boat in the water all season in Georgia?
WOW! What a great idea.
Yes, you can keep your boat in the water all seasons in Georgia.
Storage garage? What for? Why? and..How in the world do you plan to put a 60′ boat in the garage? You would need a 30 ton lift, and the lift would need to be sitting on 30 tons of reinforced concrete… It would probably be cheaper for you to buy your own Marina.
I think you will soon discover that what you are "thinking" of doing is extremely expensive… the crane (or lift) alone will be a small fortune.
It would be much cheaper to simply have a dock area dredged out so that you can "dock" your boat off the main canal, and then, if you want, put up a "pole barn" across the area you had dredged out. That way, you don’t really need a lift unless you just want one.
How do I store my boat? I’m in Galveston, Tx and live full-time on my boat. When I’m not cruising, I’m in my slip at the Marina on Galveston Bay. My boat stays in the water year round, only comes out when it has to, and my son (he has a boat next to mine, and I actually dive in the water with the power washer wand, and use the power washer to clean our hulls (as well as the rest of our boats..
Happy and Safe Boating,

hi i need help i don’t know much about outboard motors and my friend is giving me one for my jon boat but it has been stored for 8 years. what should i to get it running ( it does run but is there anything i have to do?
Buy a service manual – If you don’t want to pay new price then E-bay, Amazon have cheap second-hand ones, and your local library has many manuals in the technical section with a bit of luck.
Don’t use carby cleaner on a two-stroke. It removes all lubrication from the engine as it passes through and could damage it quite severely.
The advice to flush any old fuel out is good. If fuel has sat in a carby for that long you may find stripping the carby down at least is needed – a kit for the carby is cheap and ensures some bits and gaskets will be good. Fuel lines, pump (if any) and filters must be carefully checked – follow the directions in the Manual for these procedures and changing oil in the leg etc. There will be a whole section devoted to the water impellor. and cooling system maintenance – after this time the impellor will have some vanes bent over and will have much reduced flexibility – the procedure for changing this will be in the manual. Your biggest thing will be to make sure your tools are good – the bolts may not be keen to move on an old engine and the last thing you need are crap tools that damage fasteners rather than undoing them!
If you are not at all confident then you may need to use a workshop to service the engine fully – be aware that labour will be expensive for this if the engine requires a lot of messing about, so get a quote first just in case.
Good luck.
