I live in Atlanta and need to get some non-flooded furniture to storage after work.

Most public storage facilities are set up for daylight hours only–BUT, if you specifically request to have night access, most will allow you to do so. I have a motorcycle–and many times I come back after dark to put my bike away for the night. I know that in my case, I had to have the access card I use coaded to allow me to enter the facilities after dark? This is done to minimize the risk of theft, and people attempting to break into other storage units. Speak to the management–they will help you.

I will be cleaning out a very large storage locker filled with everything old and useless, like old mattresses, chairs, tables…etc etc etc. We plan on renting a U-Haul truck, loading it up…and then…what? We need to find a local public dump that allows folks to dump off old items and anything considered trash… a regular dumpster couldn’t even begin to hold up the incredible amount of stuff we need to get rid of, plus that is probably against some kind of law to leave mattresses and tables, and large things of trash all around a public dumpster…. So we need a public dump…. any clue in the world how to go out about finding this? Call city management perhaps?
in Clearwater, FL
please no comments about trying to sell it.. I just need an answer to my question I already stated…. (And we cannot try to sell this… I live about 45 minutes away from this area, work 2 busy jobs, and these are all items of my fathers…he is a pilot and lives in another country..hes in town for 2-3 days to get rid of this locker…trying to sell all this stuff – which believe me, if you saw it, isn’t worth it…. is just something we do not have time for. )

I know what you are going through. I just moved and had to get rid a lot of crap.

Call your town (or check their web site) and ask who they use for disposal or ask for recommendations.

You could contact a waste management company that will drop off a dumpster. You would be surprised how large they come. All you have to do is fill it and they will haul it away for you. Unfortunately, it may cost you hundreds of dollars to do this.

Anyway, I feel your pain!

Good luck!
